Version 1.1. Effective 5 October 2026. These Terms are published in English, which is the launch language of Globe Billboard.
By activating your account you agree to these Terms. Signing in with Apple, Google, or email is not acceptance.
1. The service
Globe Billboard is a map-based creative service. Users claim virtual plots, paint pixel art, protect or upgrade plots, and may buy virtual Coins and related entitlements. The public map, plot coordinates, usernames, and approved artwork are visible to anyone.
Virtual plot “ownership” is an in-service game entitlement. It is not ownership of land, real estate, a geographic location, a domain name, or any intellectual-property right in the map itself.
Paid Coins are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. This version does not sell plots on the website, run a public auction, or offer a paid business-protection subscription.
2. Eligibility and accurate information
The ordinary service is for people who are 16 or older. You represent that you are at least 16. We do not collect your date of birth.
You must provide accurate account information you control (for example an email address you can access, or a valid Apple or Google sign-in). Do not create an account for someone else without authority.
You are responsible for activity on your account, including devices and sessions you leave signed in. Do not sell, lend, or transfer your account unless we expressly allow it in writing.
3. How these Terms and the Privacy Policy work
You must agree to the current Terms before your account is activated and before you can use the ordinary service.
You must acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy. That acknowledgement is not blanket consent to every processing activity. The Privacy Policy explains what we process and on which legal bases. We do not treat signing in, tapping Continue, or using the map as agreement to these Terms or as GDPR consent.
If we publish a new Terms version that requires reacceptance, we will ask you to agree to that version before ordinary play continues. You may read the documents, log out, delete your account, or contact [email protected]. We keep versioned legal records.
The Privacy Policy may be updated separately. A Privacy Policy update does not by itself block the app.
4. Usernames
Usernames are 3 to 20 characters using letters, numbers, and underscores. Availability is not guaranteed. A name may be refused, corrected, or removed if it impersonates someone, is abusive, infringing, reserved, or otherwise unsuitable.
Globe Billboard may correct or remove a username. Doing so does not change your Coin balance or other economic entitlements.
5. Coins
Coins are an account-bound virtual service entitlement. They are:
- non-transferable between users
- not withdrawable
- not redeemable for cash
- not cryptocurrency or e-money
- without cash value outside Globe Billboard
- not for sale or trade between users
Coins do not expire while your account remains active.
A legitimate platform or store reversal may make your Coin balance negative. That is virtual-account state, not a cash debt we collect from your card. Future Coin-costing actions may be unavailable until the balance is sufficient. We do not automatically confiscate legitimate existing claims, artwork, or protection solely because the balance becomes negative.
6. Onboarding and promotional entitlements
These grants are promotional game entitlements. Eligibility is determined by the service at the time of activation. We do not promise that the same promotions will exist for every future user.
When a normal account is legally activated it currently receives:
- 15 Coins; and
- a free first 4×4 Poster entitlement.
Founder status is currently available to the first 1,000 eligible legally activated accounts and currently includes:
- 30 additional Coins;
- one Billboard upgrade voucher; and
- Founder status or badge where the product displays it.
A daily grant of 3 Coins may be credited once per UTC day when the then-current reward rule is satisfied.
Promotions can change for future users. Existing granted Coins and vouchers remain subject to these Terms.
7. Starter Pack and mobile purchases
Paid Coin packs are sold through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. Store display prices come from the platform store at the time of purchase. Laravel does not set a cash price that overrides the store.
The Starter Pack is shown once per Globe Billboard account. It is a consumable purchase in the Apple App Store or Google Play. It currently grants 12 Coins and one Billboard upgrade voucher. Other Coin packs are those listed in the store at purchase (currently 10, 30, 100, 400, 1,200, and 3,000 Coins, with no voucher).
If the store completes a Starter Pack purchase, we credit that purchase. We do not accept payment for a Starter Pack and then grant nothing. The same completed store transaction is credited only once. A later, different completed Starter Pack purchase is credited as well.
Refunds and reversals
A legitimate store refund or reversal may reverse the related virtual Coins and may produce a negative balance.
For Starter Pack reversals:
- an unused Starter voucher is revoked;
- if the Starter voucher was already consumed, a compensating Coin debit equal to the actual waived upgrade value is applied;
- an existing upgraded Billboard remains;
- there is no automatic cash redemption from Globe Billboard.
Mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under Dutch or EU law are not excluded. Store refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s processes where the purchase was made there.
8. Claims, Posters, and Billboards
Current gameplay rates:
- Poster: 1 Coin per tile
- Billboard: 4 Coins per tile
- Poster to Billboard upgrade: 3 Coins per tile, or an eligible voucher
- Initial protection: 24 hours
- Additional protection: 1 Coin per tile per day
Another user may take over eligible land by paying the current calculated price. The previous owner receives a virtual Coin refund of the recorded price_paid.
The free first Poster is recorded at price 0, so a later takeover refund for that grant is 0. A voucher upgrade does not artificially increase takeover refund value.
Plots, artwork, and protection exist only inside Globe Billboard. They are not property in the physical world.
9. Your content and copyright
You retain copyright in content you own, subject to the licence in section 10.
You warrant that you own, or have sufficient rights and permissions for, everything you upload or publish, including artwork, photos, trademarks, logos, text, URLs, campaign material, and other content. You remain responsible for that content.
10. Community content licence
You grant 10003 / Globe Billboard, to the fullest extent permitted by law, a worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, transmit, modify, adapt, crop, resize, encode, pixelate, create thumbnails of, combine into map or rendered works, promote, advertise, commercially exploit, and merchandise your community content.
That includes use on the website and apps, social media, advertising, app or store screenshots, press, books, prints and posters, shirts, stickers, and other physical or digital merchandise.
No royalties are due unless we separately agree in writing. Attribution is optional. We may use your username or other public identity contextually with the content.
Where legally valid, this licence survives takeover of a plot, account deletion, moderation hiding or removal, and cessation of the account.
This licence does not include using community content to train generative AI models, unless we separately and explicitly agree that in the future. Automated moderation processing (including through OpenRouter) is not an AI-training licence.
11. Moderation and enforcement
You must not submit illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content.
We may review content, screen it automatically, approve it, reject it, leave it pending, hide or remove it, disable unsafe or infringing links, request a revision, suspend an account, or ban an account.
Moderation may be automated, human, or both. We do not promise perfect or complete moderation.
A ban or suspension blocks ordinary service access and may revoke sessions and tokens. It does not automatically zero Coins, delete every claim, or issue refunds. Content decisions are separate from economy decisions.
Policy violations you cause do not automatically create a refund right, subject to mandatory law.
12. Automated screening
Checks of usernames, pixel artwork, imported photos, and Billboard link information can use an automated moderation provider. Sending that content to the provider requires a separate in-product permission. Agreeing to these Terms does not grant that permission. You may refuse it or withdraw it later. Refusal or withdrawal stops new automated checks and can make the related action unavailable. It does not by itself remove content already on the map. The Privacy Policy describes what is sent and to whom. Human review and override exist. Submitted URLs may also be checked for malicious or unsafe threats.
We do not offer AI image generation in this version. Automated moderation is not a guarantee that content is lawful or inoffensive.
13. Reports, appeals, and rights complaints
You may report content in the product.
Manual moderation appeals use the designated in-product or support route.
Copyright, trademark, and other rights complaints: email [email protected]. This is a generic rights process, not a United States-only DMCA agent system. A complaint does not automatically prove infringement.
We may temporarily hide content or disable a link while we review. Restoration is possible when appropriate.
14. Account deletion
Self-service deletion is available in the app and on the website. Deletion is permanent. There is no restore period. Signing in later creates a new Globe Billboard account. The deleted account is not brought back.
When you delete the account, subject to mandatory law:
- active plots come off the public map;
- public artwork is removed;
- private original photos, previews, and stored pixel data for that artwork are deleted;
- spendable Coins are set to zero;
- unused vouchers and free entitlements are forfeited;
- there is no cash redemption.
Cached map images can take a short time to update.
Some records survive where needed for accounting, fraud and security, legal claims, contractual evidence, content-licence provenance, moderation, and historical economic integrity. That can include purchase records and the Coin ledger. We do not promise complete deletion of every historical row. The Privacy Policy describes what is removed and what is kept.
15. Bans, suspensions, and purchases
A ban or suspension blocks ordinary purchase initiation in Globe Billboard.
If Apple, Google, or RevenueCat reports a legitimate already-completed purchase, we may still process or fulfil it according to the transaction status. That is not an invitation to buy while banned.
A deleted account is not resurrected. A later sign-in is a new account.
16. Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent availability of a map region, permanent retention of a promotional feature, or a bug-free experience. We will provide the service with reasonable care.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Dutch or EU mandatory law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that cannot be limited.
For other loss, and only to the extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data arising from use of a free or promotional entitlement.
These limits do not take away mandatory consumer protections for ordinary consumer users. They are not a B2B-only waiver against consumers.
18. Changes
We may publish a new Terms version. A material version that requires agreement will be presented for reacceptance. Published versions are not silently rewritten; a later change uses a new version identifier.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection and jurisdiction rules that cannot be waived remain available to you.
